Job description
The person in this role will be a founding member of a new team, responsible for the power electronics and components of a Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS). This person will be responsible for identifying the right components, handling, assembling, testing and troubleshooting a Motor/Generator, Motor controller, vacuum pump and any other components needed for safe and secure operation of a FESS.

What You'll Own
- Assembling the power components of a Flywheel storage system
- Plan and execute component and subsystem level functional and performance testing of engineering units
- Develop and maintain electrical power system design documentation including models, drawings, drawing trees, bill of materials, analysis reports, etc. using standard software tools and methods.
- Determine optimal power system architecture.
- Develop test plans and procedures, identify hardware needs, design of test set-ups.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical and firmware engineers.
Experience You'll Need
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical power system design
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Familiarity with creating schematics and PCB
- Experience in working with electrical motors and motor controllers
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary team with other engineers
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of firmware is a plus
